10 years ago on this day, January 1, 2016, we officially registered BeCozi LLC with the State of Michigan and launched becozi.net
What the most amazing 10 years we had! We started BeCozi as a small home run business, more like a hobby. Selling only Super Chunky Merino wool, Blankets and DIY Kits made with Merino wool.
The first year was very hard as nobody knew about BeCozi.
BUT with a few viral Hand knitting videos on Social media - nobody knew Hand knitting back then! - BeCozi started growing. In 1,5 years we had to move from our house to our first office of 900 square feet. Then we expanded to 2,000 square feet office, then to 3,500 and then to 4,500. Business was growing and in 2019-2020 we built and moved in into our own building of 6,500 square feet. It is located in Holland, Michigan and it the most amazing office in the world: if you live close to Holland, MI, make sure to stop by!
We now have many yarns for sale , the main yarn is Chunky Chenille yarn. Jumbo Chenille yarn is our #2 seller. We still sell beautiful Super chunky Merino wool, as well as felted Merino, Vegan, Velvet and Furreal soft yarn.
In May 2016 we started BeCozi YouTube channel teaching people to Hand knit and we now have 350 video tutorials on YouTube with 200,000 subscribers and over 20 million views.
BeCozi team has seven wonderful people now leading by the founder and owner of BeCozi LLC - Larissa Koedyker and her husband Harvey Koedyker - SFO of BeCozi.
Larissa Koedyker wrote and published two "Hand knitting" Books: first one in September 2021 and second one just recently - on November 20, 2025.
We are forever grateful to all our customers and followers for being a part of our journey and looking forward to what the future brings to BeCozi in the next 10 and more years!
