Another weekend is here and depending on where you are in the country you are either hunkering down at home surrounded by a foot of snow or rocking a long sleeve t-shirt with the sun warming your skin.
Either way the weekend always spells relaxing and taking it easy. And once all your daily activities are done and you are back home ready for Netflix and a glass of wine, pull your Becozi closer and settle in.
Don't have your own Becozi blanket yet?
We have a perfect suggestion to those new to Merino wool and chunky knit items - felted Merino wool blankets.
Here are a few pointers to get you more familiar with felted Merino and why it is such a great choice for first timers to chunky knits.
1. Felted Merino is more durable
Regular Merino is unspun wool, meaning the threads that make up the yarn are loosely associated together. When the wool is felted, it is made stronger and more durable. The felting process makes the blanket's yarn a bit thinner and harder, however it gets softer and fluffier with use so it's a win-win!
2. No shedding and pilling
While untreated Merino is prone to shedding and pilling, felted Merino is much more well-behaved. Because the thread is tighter together there is less chance for it to fray or pull apart, leaving you with a blanket that is great for everyday use and has more longevity.
3. More and more colors
We used to have only four colors of felted Merino but now that more of our lovely customers are asking for felted Merino we are constantly adding more. We are up to six colors and will have even more in the next few months!
4. Save $ with a coupon
While felted Merino costs more you can easily save money by using your 10% off coupon if you are our subscriber or by signing up for our newsletter and getting this coupon for your purchase. What an awesome way to get some felted Merino wool or beautiful blanket and save money all at the same time!
