Every September America welcomes the arrival of a three day Labor Day weekend where no labor actually takes place, as the first Monday of the month has been a designated federal holiday for more than two centuries.
This holiday that signals the end of summer and a slow ease into fall was first celebrated on September 5, 1882 in New York City as a result of the labor movement.
Labor Day is dedicated to the "social and economic achievements of American workers," according to the U.S. Department of Labor. It affirms and celebrates the yearly contributions of workers all across America to the prosperity of our country.
To thank you for your contributions to the well-being of America we are launching a Labor Day Sale where you can save 15% on everything except Clearance and Pattern sections!
