Pantone Color of the Year: Living Coral

Every year Pantone announces a new color that will be trendy for the upcoming twelve months.

Originally started as a set system of explaining and categorizing color for the design industry, Pantone quickly grew and expanded into architecture, interior design, fashion and many more industries. The benefit was clear: having a name attached to a color made communication between vendors easier. After all what looks pink to one person may look orange to someone else.

The year 2019, according to Pantone, will be the year of Living Coral. It's a color that "embraces us with warmth and nourishment to provide comfort and buoyancy in our continually shifting environment."

Pantone announced that Living Coral is a color of connection and intimacy, something we have been craving more and more in the rise of the digital age and the lack of face-to-face interaction. Living Coral is engaging and sociable, found both in nature and in man-made products. It is fun, light and energetic.

What we love about the color coral is how easy it pairs with cooler toned neutrals in home decor. It looks fantastic with navy, charcoal gray and light gray. Pairing it with white and beige tones will also create a beautiful setting.

We have some yarns that have coral tones to them: Merino wool and vegan yarn in Blush and Red, chenille yarn in Persimmon and Candy cane and to make it even better: ALL our yarns are ON SALE now!

We do not have Coral color for Merino wool in stock now but If you are interested in ordering Coral Merino wool, you can order it here.

Persimmon chunky chenille yarn (Coral) will be back in stock in about a month, can be ordered now here.
