We've been singing praises to chenille yarn ever since we first laid our hands on it. Soft, lightweight and easily washable, chenille hits all the points on your list of things you want in a chunky yarn.
Chenille makes for beautiful blankets. But it is also an amazing yarn to play with for knitting lightweight sweaters and even a Santa hat, as it was recently used by our photographer in a photo session for the quickly approaching holidays.
For more details about chenille as a yarn and why we love it as much as we do, check out our 5 Reasons to Squeal for Chenille post we wrote a few months back.
But today our focus is on our expanding color palette so we will show you the new chenille colors we just got in stock.
1. Plum
Originally we started with chenille colors that were more on the neutral scale but with input from our customers we've decided to expand into deeper tones.
Case in point - this gorgeous plum. With hints of both magenta and purple this gorgeous color will be a total statement piece for any home.
Not to mention it would make a hat that will be the envy of the whole town.
2. Mint
For the lovers of spring and pastels mint is the perfect choice for your knitting needs. This gorgeous color will make a perfect baby blanket, a throw for your teen's room or a large bed cover for your guests when they stay over.
3. Ivory
Perfect for those who are not a huge fan of white, ivory will bring a tad of warmth to the overall tone of your piece, whether it is a blanket or a large bed quilt.
4. Deep Green
A perfect example of a dark chenille yarn that is not gray. This rich green will remind you of Pacific Northwest forests or a stormy ocean shore. Either way it will bring tranquillity and peace to whichever room you end up using it in.
If you're looking for another rich color, consider grabbing our navy chenille that is currently being discontinued and can be found in our clearance section.
Whether you go for plum or deep green, make sure to post your work in progress on our community Facebook group. We love seeing what designs you come up with!
